CT is a sophisticated medical imaging technique that uses X-rays to obtain a volume of information facilitating the creation of cross-sectional or 3-dimensional images of various body parts, which can then be reformatted in multiple planes.
CT images of bones, internal organs, blood vessels and soft tissue usually provide more detail than X-rays. Our team of radiologists can diagnose problems such as cancer, appendicitis, cardiovascular disease, musculoskeletal disorders, trauma and infectious disease by combining the use of special equipment and expertise to create and interpret CT scans.
A CT can take anything from 10 – 60 minutes.
Medical aids require pre-authorisation for CT scans to be conducted, which our team can assist with.
